Homemade salsa is easy to make all you do is take:
– 1 cup tomato, diced
– 1/4 cup onion, diced
– 1/4 cup peppers, diced
– 2 Tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
– 1/2 lime juice
– Pinch of salt
Mix together in a bowl and enjoy with your favorite homemade tortilla chips! Instead of reaching for store-bought chips that can be high in salt and fat, use whole wheat tortillas, cut them into triangles, squeeze a little lime juice over them, season with chili powder or low sodium seasoning and bake until they are crispy…about 10-15 minutes.
